Base Location: Hybrid Working Between Home & Coventry Office - Ansty Business Park, Coventry, CV7 9JU. Initially based 5 days per week at the Ansty Office, whilst Training (circa 3 months), then 1-2 days per week in Ansty office thereafter.

What you'll get to work on
As an Asset Data Analyst you'll be working within a highly technical unique team in Cadent supporting the oversight, analysis and continual improvement of Cadent's Asset Data Integrity. You'll be using data analytics and Data Modelling tools and techniques , helping us shape the future and further develop Cadent's Asset Data into a strategic asset itself. You'll be a key player in demonstrating the discipline and value of data science; ensuring our Asset Data and the processes and systems supporting it are fit for purpose.

- Support delivery of Asset Data Strategy through agreed programmes of work to improve Asset Data; always ensuring work is aligned to Cadent's Data Foundation programme
- Work with Cadent's Asset Data Specialists (Stewards), you will develop and implement standard Asset Data attributes on behalf of Cadent which articulate the critical data points required to satisfy the Asset Management Strategy and regulatory/legislative requirements
- Use data analytics to identify trends and patterns in Asset Data improve Asset Data quality and completeness and Identify opportunities to expand Cadent's capability in the field of Data Science; using potential tools such as artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve our Asset Data
- Work with external experts and consultants in the field of data science to test future data improvement initiatives
- Support the development and delivery of data quality improvement actions following data maturity assessments, internal and external audits
- Ensure that any new asset or incorrectly categorised / misaligned assets are entered into core systems and that the relevant policy requirements to maintain and operate that asset are in place
- Liaise with key stakeholders (internal and external) to develop and maintain positive and proactive relationships in relation to various Asset Data performance aspects and improvement initiatives
- Carry out and assist in stakeholder workshops to establish data requirements
Who are we looking for
- Relevant experience and professional qualifications or training in a data science / analytics discipline
- Knowledge and experience of analysing complex and connected data within core asset repositories
- Understanding of the concept of data science, i.e. big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to accelerate Asset Data improvements
- Experience in Asset Data Creation (linear assets and non-linear assets) which are identified following data analytics improvements (either inferred or physically surveyed)
- Knowledge of network assets - their purpose, function, failure modes and functional hierarchy within core systems
- Experience of managing risk and developing risk mitigation strategies and actions
- Ability to work well within a team environment to tight deadlines and flexibility to suit changing demands of the business
- Confident and professional communication skills with the ability to facilitate large groups of stakeholders
