About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
The Mechanical / Electrical / IC Asset Engineer role will develop during the lifecycle of the project. In the early stages you will contribute to developing the processes & procedures required to administer, track & manage the preservation and maintenance of equipment being installed on HPC, which will form the future operating plant.
As assets are energised, the work will be to ensure operational and statutory requirements are assured and the assets installed is maintained in the best possible condition in readiness for commissioning and final handover to the plant operator.
Key responsibilities will be:
  • Maintain the asset management system to support maintenance activities including but not limited to specifying and scheduling activities.
  • Ensure maintenance arrangements support compliance with regulatory, company policies and industry best practice.
  • Represent Site Asset Management at internal and external committees, working groups, forums and meetings
  • Schedule and conduct asset reviews, report on performance and monitor action close out and improvement status.
  • Promote the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency for maintenance throughout the site.
  • Execute Care and Maintenance activities and site inspections.
  • Provide governance of maintenance activities to ensure they are conducted to the required standards and expectations.
  • Champions continuous improvement by identifying and reporting events, areas for improvement and good practices to enhance performance.

Here's What You'll Need:
  • HNC / Degree in engineering related subject or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable Engineering / Maintenance experience.
  • Experience of working alongside contract teams and able to provide challenge and guidance where required.
  • Detailed knowledge of an Asset Management tool (Passport/Orbit/Asset Suite 9, etc)
  • A working understanding of the ISO 5500 standard would be advantageous
  • Experience of developing and implementing Care and Maintenance arrangements
