Job description

Assistant Audiology Band 3, Trafford General Hospital, 37.5 hours/week
We are looking for an Assistant Audiologist to join our busy Clinical Audiology department over our 3 sites.
The department provides a full hearing assessment and hearing aid service to adults and children of all ages.
There is a high level of contact with the public. You will be responsible for providing basic maintenance and repair of hearing aids in our repair service for patients. You will also provide support and advice on equipment and communication techniques that can help people with hearing loss. In addition, you will assist qualified Audiologists in the performance of their duties and be responsible for the stocking and maintenance of clinical rooms.
Full training will be given. The successful applicant will have good basic education with a minimum of 5 GCSE passes including Science, Maths and English with excellent computer and technical skills. Experience of working with the public is desirable
Maintenance and basic repair and trouble shooting of hearing devices.
Giving advice to patients
Taking ear impressions for earmoulds
Stocking rooms and ordering stock and maintaining stock spreadsheets
Assisting audiologists in clinic
