Assistant Branch Manager - Pump Hire/Rental in Dartford

We are thrilled to be seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to join our client in Dartford and support their London based Rental & Hire business.

A rare opportunity to join a dynamic team in Dartford and contribute to the success of this well-established Hire & Rental business, primarily serving the London area.

As an Assistant Branch Manager, your contribution will be crucial in driving the operational excellence of the branch, fostering strong relationships with customers, team members, and various departments.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the rental desk, ensuring high-quality service in collaboration with the Territory Manager and Solutions Team.
• Support the Branch Manager in achieving financial targets and optimal return on investment by managing assets, costs, and pricing effectively.
• Coordinate with the Workshop Manager to ensure timely and efficient maintenance and repair of branch assets.
• Analyze performance metrics with managers, customers, and internal teams to drive continuous improvement in designated areas.
• Aid the Branch Manager in fostering staff development, motivation, and effective management of branch personnel.
• Generate monthly performance reports for key clients, adhering to strict deadlines.
• Champion health and safety initiatives alongside the Branch Manager and safety teams, aiming to reduce risks and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Proven experience in team supervision or leadership, with strong skills in team development, motivation, and engagement.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of providing clear feedback and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Highly organized with adept time management skills, able to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Confident and personable, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to challenges.
• Proficient in IT, particularly in data analysis using Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Flexibility to travel within the designated territory and across the UK as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a Supervisory/ Management experience in a rental or equipment hire environment or similar, all other relevant backgrounds will be considered.

Duration: Permanent

Salary: 48,000 - 50,000 + circa 20% Bonus
