Our client is a stalwart of the UK Removals and Storage Industry. A multi-branch, long term BAR member with a great reputation for quality.
They now have an immediate opportunity in Cambridge for an Assistant Branch Manager to join their team.
Removal s experience is an essential requirement. Experience in carrying out surveys is beneficial; however the role is predominantly operations based on site.
The role:
- Plan daily routine.
- Deal with customer enquiries.
- Inspect customers premises and assess quantities for removal.
- Market and sell Company s services effectively.
- Plan individual removals.
- Compile quotations using Company costing data.
- Submit Quotes to customers.
- Follow up quotations.
- Canvas potential customers.
- Advise Company on the selection of appropriate vehicles and crew for each removal as required.
- Brief removal crews as required.
- Supervise special removals when requested.
- Contribute to the promotion and maintenance of good labour and customer relations.
- Achieve objectives set out by the Branch Manager.
- Liaise with clerical support staff offering assistance when requested.
- Advise customers on insurance matters.
- Investigate and report on claims and complaints.
- Generally assisting the Manager in his duties, deputising for him in his absence.
- Book removals and part loads as required.
- Ensure compliance of oneself with the Health and Safety at Work etc., Act 1974.
- Ensure compliance of oneself and subordinates with defined Quality System policy and procedures pertinent to ISO: 9002.
- Any other duties as may be reasonably requested by Branch Manager.
