Assistant Brand Manager - Own Label (Customer Brand)

Based in St Albans/Hybrid working

 

The Assistant Brand Manager (Own Label) must possess the spirit of being a self-starter, capable of working independently and making a genuine impact. They must navigate complex projects seamlessly, even under tight deadlines. Additionally, their affable nature and desire for building relationships are important, as well as their commercial acumen and creative thinking. Attention to detail is a necessity in their fast-paced environment.

The role includes supporting the existing portfolio and upcoming product launches.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. Collaboration across functions and autonomy in handling various tasks is key. To excel in this role, initiative, enthusiasm, and passion are prerequisites. The ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines, build relationships, think creatively, and have commercial acumen is essential. Attention to detail is also necessary.

 

The Key Requirements....

 

  • A strong bias for action, demonstrated ability to work agilely and at pace in a fast-moving dynamic environment 
  • A self starter, with the ability to work independently & take ownership
  • FMCG experience desirable
  • Working with UK Retailers, understanding consumer & customer needs within the Own label market
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, with attention to detail
  • Commercial orientation - comfortable with data analysis & experience of P&Ls preferrable
  • Passionate & a desire to make a difference

 

The role....

 

To support the Customer Brand Controller in driving continual success of the AYR Sweet Treats Own label category.  An exciting & varied role, working across multiple categories with Major UK Supermarkets, supporting in the day-to-day initiatives, striving for results through cross functional working.  This role is pivotal to the success of both the existing portfolio and new product launches.

 

  • Project Management & Execution
    • Leading/supporting cross-functional EPD project delivery across various categories/Customers
    • Managing marketing spend budget, monthly reporting and administration
    • Supporting the teams with customer meeting preparation and organisation
    • Day to day responses to adhoc Customer and internal requests including benchmarking, reporting & store visits

 

  • Data Analysis:
    • Monitoring & reporting performance to feed into monthly presentations
    • Identify challenges and opportunities within the Category 

 

  • P&L Management:
    • Ownership of P&L- monthly reporting on position to the business
    • Building a Commercial business case, with the ability to present to the wider team
