Assistant Business Analyst / Project Manager : 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Our client, as part of an ongoing programme of change within the business, are looking for an additional member of staff to join their projects team. The role will be on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract basis and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following experience: -

• Scoping projects and assessing solutions.
• Requirements gathering, including running workshops.
• Mapping business processes.
• Preparing project plans.
• Assisting in the delivery of larger projects (project coordination, administration, documentation, coordinating meetings, etc).
• Running smaller scale projects yourself (with guidance from management, particularly in relation to the financial aspects).
• Ensuring project documentation and reporting is of a high standard.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: -

• At least 3 years in a project environment – this could be a combination of project office / coordination and junior project management / business analysis duties.
• An understanding of formal project management methodologies.
• Skills in both business analysis and project management
• Outstanding people skills – this is probably the most important part of the role. It is a mixed office function where you will be dealing with blue-collar and white-collar workers, some of which will be highly IT literate, some not. You need to be able to keep all stakeholders on side so an up-beat personality and the ability to adapt your style when speaking to people from different backgrounds is key.
• Driving licence.

Any experience of building move / people move projects would be a significant advantage. The role will be office based in Stockport but require travel to other Stockport based sites (expensed) with the ability to work from home when it is sensible to do so.
