- Assisting with the procurement of goods and services
- Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive prices
- Maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers
- Identifying and sourcing new potential suppliers
- Supporting the wider Procurement & Supply Chain team
- Monitoring market trends and using this information to inform buying decisions
- Ensuring adherence to company purchasing policies and procedures

Profile
A successful Assistant Buyer should have:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the Industrial / Manufacturing industry
- Strong negotiating skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
