Our client are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Contract Manager to join a leading Highways Contractor based out of the Quedgeley site office.
The role is working on a large framework agreement to plan, control, manage and co-ordinate all operational activities in line with company policy, processes and procedures to satisfy the needs of all clients and stakeholders, in line with budgets outlined in the Divisional Business Plan.
Duties include:
- Support the Contracts Manager to deliver contract performance in line with agreed budgets
- Ensure effective programming & planning is carried out at all levels to ensure service delivery to clients
- Maximise outputs, reduce waste by ensuring efficient use of resources, i.e. people, plant, materials, SCP
- Maintain strong relationships with client base & key stakeholders
- Assist the Commercial and Finance Departments in the monitoring of costs and preparation of final accounts
- Manage the operational teams in line with company processes and procedures
- Ensure all records are completed at site level and submitted
- Ensure accurate reporting of all HS&E, IMS, KPIs, is carried out and submitted on time
Qualifications
- Good general education, (Maths & English)
- CSCS Manager Card
- Frontline Leadership Programme - Contract Manager level
Skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Management & supervision of asphalt laying gangs
Knowledge
- Kheops accounting including papyrus cost capture
- Contract programming and resource management
- Knowledge of NEC contracts is preferred including target costs and schedule of rates
