The location of the role is Paddington, London (hybrid working).
The duration of the contract is 3 months.
The pay rate on offer is £140 - £150 per day.
The client is a multinational high-street retailer.
Job Purpose
As an Assistant Copywriter for the Food Business, we are looking for a dynamic and talented individual to play an important role in planning and writing engaging copy across multiple touchpoints: online editorial, email, direct mail and app. These communications would be aligned to the objectives of the Food BU to engage and inspire our customers, drive loyalty, and deliver sustainable long-term value to the business.
We are looking for a food lover with strong writing and planning skills, who will support the Food Online Food Editor.
Key accountabilities and measures
- Be responsible for a limited number of small-scale copy requests for trading pages; assisting the Copywriter with larger pieces of copy
- Respond to feedback from peers and/or stakeholders and edit copy accordingly
- Assist with CRM Copy & online communications
- Understand objectives for the Food Marketing team, specifically the brand Communications team, and incorporate these objectives into communications
- Working with Design, CRM and Marketing teams to pull out proof points to assist with writing copy to tell the quality and provenance stories of our Food products
- Reaching out to category marketing managers to source info for own briefs and copy writer briefs.
- Understanding the business' tone of voice and incorporating that into copy
- Manage sign off with internal stakeholders for wider teams' copy related work
- Assisting Editors with planning online editorial content
- Attend marketing meetings and feed into presentations
