More About the Assistant Depot Supervisor Role:

Our Assistant Depot Supervisors work closely with our Warehouse Supervisors, ensuring that our operation always runs smoothly and that each one of our customers receives their appliance on time, every time.

A hands-on approach is required to support our self-loading depot and you will ensure that all our vehicles are road worthy, legal and compliant whilst providing on-going support to our Drivers, Quality and People teams.

• Hours: 5 on 3 off, 5 on 2 off shift pattern working-4am-1pm and  1pm-10pm on a rotational pattern (40 hours per week)
• Job Type: Full time and permanent contract
• Location: Compound 56, Greendale Business Park, Woodbury, Salterton, EX5 1EW

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing As Our Assistant Depot Supervisor:

• Working alongside our warehouse team, leading by example and coaching our employed/ self-employed drivers
• Supporting the Shift Supervisor and promote a safe working environment, ensuring the team always adhere to Health and Safety procedures
• Taking responsibility for managing loading/ unloading
• Checking that all vehicles leaving the depot are secure and meet required transport legislation requirements
• Making sure deliveries are going out on time to our customers
• Completing in-house reports for our Depot Manager
• Completing alcohol testing when required
• Communicating with our Drivers, debriefing returning vehicles and handling any queries in a professional manner
• Continually working towards reducing damage levels

A Few Things About Our Assistant Depot Supervisor:

• Understand transport legislation and logistics operation
• The ability to build good relationships with people even when under pressure
• Challenge any vehicle issues or damages with our Drivers
• The ability to make decisions in the absence of the Supervisor to drive performance and service
• React quickly to information and be able to solve problems independently
• Good communication skills both verbally and written
• Competent use of Microsoft, particularly Excel
