PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for an Assistant Design Manager to work with our Client in the Manchester region. Our client is a UK building main contractor with experience working across a range of sectors including Highrise Residential, Warehousing and Logistics.
The Assistant Design Manager will help manage and coordinate the design of construction (non-civil) projects from tender stage right through to the completion of the construction.
The projects the Assistant Design Manager will be working on will range from 20m - 150m. On larger projects you will initially be based in the office before moving onto site full time to work alongside the rest of the project team.
Assistant Design Manager Requirements:
- Previous experience within a construction related design role.
- Holds a degree in Architecture or other relevant qualifications.
- Worked on projects within industrial or large scale residential sectors.
Assistant Design Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
- Play a part in the project design resource.
- Support the Design Manager to provide a professional, comprehensive, and sustainable design service.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with design management departmental procedures at bid and delivery stages.
- Audit the design and identify inconsistencies, discrepancies and missing information and record, report and track the close out of these items.
- Take responsibility for the production and control of the design programme and report against it.
- Chair design workshops with the trade contractors and consultants, develop the design, workshop drawings and manage the coordination between trades.
- Coordinate the integration of the building services with the architectural and structural elements of the project.
