Assistant Director of Education

Endeavour Learning Trust

Salary: L22 – L26, £79,112 - £87,253

Contract: Full time, permanent

Location: Lancashire

The closing date for application is: Wednesday 21st February 2024

Endeavour Learning Trust is seeking to appoint an Assistant Director of Education who is able to support the Trust's secondary schools in the continuous improvement of the quality of Education.

Endeavour Learning Trust is a growing Trust in the North West, currently spanning South Ribble, West Lancashire and North Sefton. In our family of schools at this point in our growth, we have four secondary schools and two primary schools in the Trust. Our family of schools extends beyond our Trust, and we work collaboratively with a number of schools across the region.

This is an incredibly exciting time for our Trust as we look to maximise the benefits of our collaborative partnership that has been developing since the inception of Endeavour Learning Trust in 2016. Endeavour Learning Trust is a community of schools working together to offer the very best opportunities to the children and communities we serve. We look beyond the imaginable. We ignite curiosity and inspire discovery. And we love it!

Ultimately, our work is centred around our children, ensuring that every one of them has an equitable opportunity to benefit from a transformative education. This means extending beyond academic achievement by providing a rich and diverse offer for students to develop their skills, qualities and talents.

We are clear that our colleagues are central to our ambitions for our children and communities. They too deserve every opportunity to develop and flourish as professionals. We are determined to deliver a sector-leading experience so that, in turn, our colleagues can continue to serve our young people and communities to the best of their abilities.

As an Assistant Director of Education, you will work as a key part of our school improvement team. This role will focus on supporting curriculum development across the Trust, working with senior and middle leaders in schools to ensure that all of our young people benefit from an ambitious and equitable offer.

The successful candidate will oversee the development of our professional development offer for our teaching staff, ensuring that our young people benefit from an exceptional learning experience, and that our colleagues are supported to achieve their aspirations.

The successful candidate will focus on curriculum development which will include the personal development curriculum on offer in our schools, ensuring that each of our young people benefit from a broad range of opportunities and a rich educational experience.

This role offers the flexibility for colleagues from a range of backgrounds and experiences to be able to shape the future of our Trust, utilising their skills to support improvement at scale.

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who can communicate effectively with all members of our Trust community. You will present the best possible example of professional standards to colleagues.
