Job description

Our client are a specialist provider of learning disability, dementia, elderly care, end of life and mental health services across London and Essex. They are recruiting for an Assistant Director ofNursing & Older People's Services. Looking after residential Services in the Colchester areas initially and to later involve services in East London/Essex border. Role is remote but with visits to services. You will need to be a qualified nurse (RGN).

About you:
Registered nurse with live PIN (Essential) Proven experience in a similar leadership role within social care Evidence of achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding CQC ratings In depth knowledge of the CQC processes and procedures Able to demonstrate an understanding of the Single Assessment Framework In depth knowledge and understanding of regulatory, legislative and best practice principles governing social care providers. Able to motivate and manage staff teams and provide clear management leadership. Able to communicate and negotiate effectively, both verbally and in writing to staff and external partners and stakeholders. Able to manage in a pressurised working environment. Able to manage change and work effectively in a complex and emerging situation. Able to prepare and analyse service and organisational budgets Excellent day-to-day administrative and technology skills Job Role:
The role is remote based with travel to the services. You will be responsible for the leadership and oversight for all their nursing homes and elderly care services (Essex based) with a view to increasing this remit to include LDMH services in the longer term E London/Essex border. You will provide leadership and strategic management of good quality, safe, compliant care and support delivery in all services under the remit. You will need to have an oversight on clinical practice within the services and provide clinical supervision where required. Assist in developing new business opportunities and oversee general marketing. Assist Home Managers increasing the number of private referrals and meet budgetary expectations with regard to occupancy. Ensure operational management is compliant and plans are in place to achieve a Good CQC rating with aspirations to achieve outstanding. Support Managers in the implementation of the Single Framework for CQC. PIR Submissions Safeguarding matters. Strategic leadership for ongoing review of systems and processes. Lead and oversee operational performance contracts. Work closely with other teams to continuously improve service delivery for customers. Working 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
