Job Title: Assistant Ecologist
Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 DOE

Penguin Recruitment are looking for a keen Assistant Ecologist to join a niche, independent Ecological Consultancy in Staffordshire. Established in 2006, they provide a range of ecology surveys. From baseline habitat surveys, plants, and protected species, to impact assessment, and mitigation design. As well as protected species licensing, biodiversity net gain, and invasive plant management advice. As an Assistant Ecologist you will be supported with thorough CPD, training and given loads of opportunities to develop as an Ecologist.
The Assistant Ecologist position offers:

Your main duties will include:
- Supporting a range of projects across different sectors.
- Leading, planning and coordinating field surveys, analysing and interpreting survey results.
- Undertaking reporting of Preliminary Ecological Assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments and UKHab Surveys.
You will need:
- A degree in a relevant subject
- Be self-motivated and driven to learn
- Show a good understanding ecological survey methodology and legislation
- Have relevant experience in an ecological consultancy environment
