To ensure effective monitoring of energy and utilities costs, providing regular reports on energy usage and cost supporting the - the identification and implementation of utilities ,energy and conservation measures to support Net Zero carbon reduction challenges and ensure best value for the Council in consumption of utilities in non-domestic Council buildings and therefore contribute to reducing environmental impact.
Work with colleagues to develop proposals for energy saving projects utilising renewable technologies and coordinate objectives and strategies to reduce carbon emissions through awareness programmes with staff and the wider community.
KNOWLEDGE:
It is essential that the jobholder has a minimum an HNC in a relevant subject e.g. financial management, electronic book keeping payment; or service charge management and dealing with utilities companies.
Experience management of commercial building and would be advantageous understanding and experience in the use of Energy Management and specifically Systems Link energy management software would be highly desirable but adequate knowledge of payment processing and budgeting along with and understanding of payment software process would be expected of the jobholder.
Once in post the jobholder will be expected to gain an understanding of geographical layout of sites and plant maintenance arrangements and utilities connections in relation to corporate properties schools, leisure centres, libraries etc recognising client service delivery requirements.
