Our client is looking for an Assistant Engineering Geologist/Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their expanding team.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the industry
- Hold a full UK drivers licence and own transport
- Have a degree in engineering geology, geology or environmental science
- Be able to carry out site contamination assessments from Stage 1 Tier 1 to Stage 3
- Be able to undertake geo-environmental and geotechnical site work
- Be proficient in soil and rock logging under BS5930
- Be able to schedule contamination, waste classification and geotechnical testing
- Be proficient at writing desk studies and interpretive GIR
- Carry out the design of remediation works and validation
- Have strong technical report writing and clear verbal communication skills
- Be proficient in MS Office
- Experience of EIA process and reporting would be advantageous
