My clients have developed the company in line with modern technology and electronic media, whilst maintaining the philosophy which so many have grown to trust and respect for over 50 years based in South Yorkshire.As Estimator you will be working alongside my clients extensive client base which includes Public and Private Sector clients, including several Framework Contracts carrying out contracts valued from £300k to £4m.
Responsibilities for an Assistant Estimator- Analysing tender documents and preparing package list for enquiries, preparing documents and issuing subcontractor and material enquiries
- Taking off quantities and preparing subcontractor and supplier enquiries.
- Production and analysis of subcontractor comparisons
- Pricing tender preliminaries
- Supporting and assisting senior members of staff on projects.
- Minimum 2 years experience working as an Assistant Estimator
- Experience of the Conquest estimating package or similar would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Previous experience ideally needs to include working for companies of a similar size and carrying out similar work, although we would consider a candidate who has specialised in a specific trade, e.g Drylining, Groundworks, Shop Fitting etc.
- £30,000 - £40,000
- 21 days annual leave + bank holidays.
- Car allowance or company car.
