Job description

Job Title: Assistant Facilities Manager

Sector: Facilities Management, Life Sciences & Engineering

Location: Sedgefield, County Durham

Randstad Construction, Property & Engineering are seeking a talented Assistant Facilities Manager to support our client's Facilities Management team in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of their facilities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and have a strong understanding of facility management principles.

This is a rare and unique opportunity, working directly with an organisation to provide FM services and not with an FM provider!

Package:

  • Competitive salary between £33,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)
  • Core hours Monday to Friday (40 hour week)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects and services.
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess the condition of facilities and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in developing and implementing facility maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related issues and emergencies, and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and expenditures.
  • Assist in budget planning and management for facility-related expenses.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support their facility-related needs and initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in facility management.

Requirements:

  • Experienced and qualified within Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in facilities management.
  • Strong knowledge of facility management principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours as needed.
