Role: Assistant Finance Manager
Location: Hereford - One day per week in the office
Type: Permanent
Hours: Full time and Part time option available
Salary: £28k to £35k
Sellick Partnership are looking to appoint a Permanent Assistant Finance Manager for our Public Sector client in Hereford.
Job summary:
- Supporting with and delivering accurate and high-quality transactional level accounting
- Provide technical financial support
- Leading on the provision of monthly accounts, analysis of variances and preparation of draft forecasts
- Analyse information and present it in a meaningful way
- Have a clear understanding of financial pressures, saving opportunities and performance against financial plans.
Main responsibilities for the Assistant Finance Manager:
- Preparation of monthly accounts
- Analysis of significant financial variations from plan
- Regular liaison with budget managers
- Financial forecasting
- Provide financial expertise to non-finance staff
- Design and prepare financial costings
- Preparation of the annual Business Plan
- Budget setting
Person Specification for the Assistant Finance Manager:
- AAT qualified or equivalent experience
- Strong excel skills
- Experience working in a similar role
