Your new role
The Assistant Finance Manager is a new position which has come about due to a change in the distribution of workload and responsibilities within the finance team resulting in this position now being an office-based role over the whole year as opposed to term-time only.
Reporting into the Financial & Transactional Accounting Manager, who is one of 4 Finance Managers within the Business, this role will be recruited with an element of succession in mind as the postholder will be looked at as the next in line for any Finance Manager posts that become available.
What you\'ll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be at least AAT level 3 or equivalent with a desire to continue their development and qualification status (in light of the above) in order to progress.
Main duties will include:
* Monthly Reconciliations of Bank, Credit & Equals Cards.
* Government & LEA Income Administration.
* Compliance & Regulations Adherence.
* Close Liaison with the Finance Managers and Finance Officers.
* Overall Responsibility for Business\'s Transactional Finances.
Candidates should have a proven work history within the Education Sector and knowledge of processes and protocols that will enable them to actively assist colleagues on financial matters.
What you\'ll get in return
This role is 5 days a week in the office, paying an annual starting salary of up to £30,769pa with an excellent pension scheme and a pay award due in August 2024.
