Assistant Footwear Manager

Role Purpose: To support the product development team with range and sample management in line with the product critical path. Working closely with T1 supplier and internally with merchandising and quality functions. Supporting the organisation with all key data administration and samples in order for Hotter to ensure that new products are developed and delivered on time.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• General support for the product team to ensure all product administration supports departmental requirements and deadlines
• Management of range documentation
• Regular competitor and market analysis to ensure relevant and up to date market intelligence is built into the product ranges
• Support with sell in and out analysis to support and rationalise commercial decision making
• Help to build a balanced range strategy which determines creative, commercial, and technical drivers having reflected historical, target customer and relevant competitive trends
• Assist in setting range price architecture with clear FOB targets to hit required go in margins
• Product specification sign off and costing coordination driving intake margin
• Co-ordination with the mail room & factory on all packages and samples
• Sample management and range organisation; - ordering, monitoring, review and tracking;- support for key meetings.
• Sample room housekeeping including the creation of product archive
• Seasonal testing of shoe care product compatibility with new leathers / colours.
• Adherence to Critical Path milestones
• Responsibility for Accessories with support for Head of Product

Skills and Experience:

Must have:

• Footwear experience
• Strong cross functional operator
• Passionate about shoes
• Structured and organised in approach
• Able to plan for contingencies and identify problems quickly and problem solve effectively
• Self-motivating, completer- finisher mentality
• Strong communicator - able to develop and maintain effective relationships
• Advanced excel

Technical / professional qualifications:

• Degree level or equivalent experience

Pay: £24,500.00 per year
