Package: £60,000 - £70,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Location: Hertfordshire - On Site
I'm partnering with a globally recognised logistics provider on a fantastic role which has come up due to an internal promotion. You will be responsible for operational performance and strategic project within one of their largest sites globally. This is a fantastic business is going through a huge transformation and is looking for individuals with the ambition to drive this change.
An adaptable approach is crucial, as this role covers both warehousing and transport operation. The Assistant General Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising the entire operations with a commercial focused lense, whilst driving engagement and instilling a culture of continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing;
- Provide clear direction and leadership to the DC operations team, fostering a culture of safety and care.
- Accelerate the performance and development of key DC management roles - assess capabilities, agree personal development plans to strengthen skills through effective coaching, mentoring and learning and development opportunities
- Through data analysis and engagement with the team - Identify opportunities for improvements across Transport, Warehouse and Stock/Inventory.
- Review processes, bottlenecks and key commercial opportunities as well as developing a culture of innovation and adaptability
What we're looking for
- Exceptional people leader, able to mentor and coach a diverse team. Focusing on empowerment, engagement and fostering team growth
- Experienced managing Warehouse & Transport operations - beneficial if you've worked in a unionised environment but not a necessity
- Demonstrable track record of delivering improvements across KPIs with strong commercial acumen.
