Salary: Grade 3 - Points 3-5 - £23,114 - £23,500

St Mary’s College are looking to appoint an Assistant Grounds Person to join our Site Staff Team, the post is 37 hours per week, but flexibility is essential as hours of work can change to accommodate inclement weather.
The successful candidate must have a full clean driving licence to be able to drive a triple cylinder mower. Experience of grounds/gardens work is desirable; for the successful candidate full training on the job will be given (and will be ongoing, ultimately leading to nationally recognised qualifications). You will be directly line managed by a fully skilled/qualified, knowledgeable and experienced Grounds Person.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the following aspects of grounds care and maintenance (this list of duties are non-exhaustive:
Grass cutting (using pedestrian and ride on mowers) and strimming, hedge cutting, tree work (crown lifting, felling and planting), field work including installation and maintenance of football, rugby and athletics tracks, litter picking and weed control, use and maintenance of hand and power tools and general tidying of pathways and roads within the premises.
