Assistant Head Teacher
A truly exciting opportunity has arisen, to work for a reputable secondary school in Castle Cary as the community and conduct Assistant Headteacher. This role is perfect for someone who has the knowledge and experience and skills to build on the values of the school and continue to improve the outcome and learning experience for all young people within the school community.
The Role
The position is leading the pastoral support team and providing the strategic leadership of the behaviour management policy, including the implementation of provision and the day to day management. To provide a strategic approach to rewards and recognition, creating a positive environment for students and staff and developing opportunities to celebrate all aspects of the student’s development in and out of the classroom embedding the school's values. A huge part of the role is maintaining positive partnerships with families, ensuring a high level of engagement and delivering effective communication to straighten networks and build a wider confidence in the school’s overall goals. You will need to develop approaches and initiatives to create opportunities for student leadership within and beyond the classroom, promoting exceptional attitudes to learning and empowering students to make a positive difference, enabling them to grow as individuals.
A successful candidate will be someone with a positive attitude and is willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
