SEND Inclusion Support are currently seeking an Assistant Head Teacher/ SENDCo for one of their partner SEND schools based in Gloucester. We are passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with Autism and associated learning needs.

As we take part in this exciting trial, we are actively seeking an Assistant Headteacher who can also serve as our SENDCo.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement strategies to support students with Autism and associated learning needs.
• Ensure that our students receive the tailored support they require to thrive academically and emotionally.
• Provide guidance and training to staff to enhance their ability to support students with any challenges.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies.
• Contribute to the school's leadership team and help shape our vision for SEND education.
• Play a pivotal role in our ongoing efforts to promote the well-being of students and staff alike.

Requirements:

• Experience in a leadership role.
• A thorough understanding of Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• A passion for improving the lives of students with SEND.
• The ability to drive positive change within an educational setting.
