We are recruiting on behalf of a Nottingham City Academy that are seeking an outstanding individual to join our school's leadership team as an Assistant Headteacher / Senior Leadership Team (SLT) Member. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future direction of the school and making a real difference in the lives of our students.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Headteacher and other SLT members to drive school improvement and achieve strategic objectives.
- Lead and manage specific areas of school development, such as curriculum, assessment, pastoral care, or staff development.
- Support the professional development of staff through coaching, mentoring, and training initiatives.
- Play a key role in promoting a positive school culture and high expectations for all students and staff.
- Contribute to the effective management of resources, including budget planning and allocation.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Significant experience in a leadership role within a school setting.
- Strong understanding of current educational policies, practices, and trends.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve excellence.
- Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of students.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience leading whole-school initiatives or projects.
- Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Experience managing staff performance and development.
- Understanding of data analysis and its application to school improvement.
