Job description

We are currently recruiting an Assistant IT Project Manager to join our IT Team! The team is responsible for the successful delivery of technology change to ensure continuous, positive improvement of service to all Transact clients.

This role is a great development opportunity for a recent graduate looking to learn and grow in an IT project management environment. Initially this role will provide project support to the broader IT Change Delivery team during which training and development will be provided. This role will gradually take on more project management responsibilities starting with infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Change Delivery team to maintain effective project administration and communication.
  • Engaging with the business to ensure business needs are met, and any negative impact of IT change is minimised.
  • Relationship building with internal stakeholders.
  • Creating a project budget and tracking delivery against this.
  • Project Management Office support to the wider delivery team.
  • Owning project tasks or workbook items.
  • Data analysis and data gathering, and ad hoc MI production.
  • Ensure changes are transitioned into BAU services and that ongoing support wrap is implemented.

Requirements

You will be a proactive self-starter with an appetite to grow and develop in the IT Project Management space. You will be confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels and will be well organised, demonstrating the ability to work under pressure.

The ideal candidate would be degree educated with two years experience working in a corporate environment. Project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE II, PMI) are desirable but not essential, as Transact will sponsor these to drive your career development.

We offer a competitive remuneration package, including company discretionary bonus, excellent pension contributions, an attractive staff share scheme, BUPA health insurance, buying and selling of annual leave and sponsorship of relevant professional qualifications.

The role is based in our central London office, working a minimum of two days a week in the office and three days a week from home.
