Assistant Merchandiser

Our client is experiencing significant growth and as such are looking to grow the merchandising team. If you're an existing Assistant Merchandiser or somebody with similar skill set in buying, demand planning or supply chain, please read on as this could be the opportunity for you!!

Reporting into a brilliant leader this roles key responsibilities are highlighted below:

• Support the Merchandising Manager in the delivery of the stock programme to ensure optimisation of sales and maximising profit
• Oversee the critical path from product ordering to delivery to ensure stock is delivered as planned
• Oversee stock availability on stocked lines
• Monitor and report on intake, excess stock and discontinued stock lines
• Support stores with stock requests and understand store ranging plans
• Support with reporting and analysis of trade, identifying trends and proposing actions
• Support with development of trading calendar and liaise with marketing on promotions
• Liaising with ecommerce on trade analysis findings and proposing relevant actions to maximise website sales
• Ability to analyse reports and data and communicate to wider business
• Stand in for your merchandiser when they are out of office
• Development of junior members of the team, motivating team morale while setting realistic goals and objectives
