  • Job Title/Location:Assistant Pensions Manager, Surrey & WFH
  • Salary: GBPnegotiable, average bonus 9% (GBP3,600) + pension contribution to 13% c.(GBP5,200)
  • WFH: 2 days office + 3 days WFH
  • Requirements: Looking for strong people management and SIPP experience as well as a good understanding of other corporate pensions (DB/DC)
  • Role snapshot: Day to day management of the team, ensuring all client instructions are actioned and act as an escalation point for all thing's SIPP related. You will also lead the team through changes to improve the customer journey

The Company/Team: This is a company known in the industry for developing people. They have been growing established teams whilst also developing new teams/functions and income streams. This team of 5 is responsible for the processing of all SIPP transfers.

The Role: This Assistant Pensions Manager role will see you manage the team on a daily basis. You will ensure client instructions are actioned, act as the SIPP escalation point and focus on developing each team member. You will also work closely with other functions within the wider department and lead the team through changes to improve the customer journey. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing change initiatives and lean reviews within the team, gaining buy-in from key stakeholders and developing and managing practical strategies to achieve the best outcome
  • Provide technical process support to the team, escalating where necessary, in a timely manner.
  • Provide and collate information for regulatory reporting. Ensure regulatory obligations and standards are met and provide the business with regular management information
  • Where required support team with meeting deadlines and continually assess service risks
  • Take up end-to-end ownership of process design reviews, procedural changes, risk identification and mitigation strategies, staff training, data cleansing and migration activities.
  • Focus on team member career development, management succession with motivated employees

Experience/Skills Required: For the Assistant Pensions Manager role, our client is looking for solid people management experience alongside a background with SIPP's and corporate pensions such as DC or DB schemes.
