As a Assistant People Advisor you will be based at our site in Weston-super-Mare with the expectation of travelling to our other sites across the UK as is required to support the teams with generalist HR related activities. You will work closely with the HR Business Partners and Managers across all divisions, the role is an integral part of the HR department and has been strategically aligned to provide support on a range of HR related activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the HR team in providing detailed and pragmatic employee relations advice that has been appropriately risk assessed in relation to absence management, performance management, disciplinary and grievance.
- Responsible for recruitment and on-boarding of new employees, including the development of an attractive and innovative recruitment strategy for the UK.
- Be the driving force for talent and HR wide projects and initiatives, including diversity & inclusiveness, wellbeing days, mental health awareness etc.
- Responsible for conducting stay interviews & exit interviews with employees, looking for trends and areas of improvement.
- Supporting with the development and delivery with training on HR related topics.
- Support the HR team with the delivery of the annual targets;
- To behave as an ambassador for the Tricel Group, ensuring that the Company vision, mission and core values are embedded in to the everyday culture of the UK businesses;
- Preparing monthly reports for the UK & Group specifically focussing on turnover and retention, headcount, diversity and recruitment.
- Attend career fairs and partner with the local community to improve the Group's visibility and strengthen the Tricel brand.
- Maintain the employee database, ensuring all relevant personnel information is held & pro-actively manage this to ensure it remains up-to-date;
- Any other duties that may be required to support the HR team.
Keys Skills and Experience
- Experience of working within a Manufacturing organisation (desirable).
- CIPD qualified to Level 3 (or working towards).
- Technical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong commercial drive and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Organised and results oriented - demonstrating a can do attitude and pro-activeness.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
- Driving licence and willingness to travel as required to UK sites.
