We are currently working with a major engineering contractor, specialising in Rail and Electrification who are looking to expand their growing and developing team by hiring an Assistant Project Manager to join their ranks in Coatbridge.
The responsibilities of this job include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the coordination of all OLE projects undertaken to ensure that no resource conflicts occur.
- Assist in ensuring that all OLE design, technical and construction deliverables are produced in a timely manner and to high standard.
- Assist in the production of weekly staff rosters to cover all projects and ensure that all resources are allocated, all logistical issues covered and only staff that are trained and certificated can be allocated tasks.
- Monitor progress of all remitted OLE projects to ensure change is appropriately managed and reported.
- Meet and communicate with clients and their representatives to ensure projects are delivered to meet their requirements.
- Ensure that up to date records of individual projects are maintained and are available for audit purpose (in liaison with the construction manager).
- Undertake periodic site audits and safety inspections when required.
The suitable candidate will require:
- Experience in Assistant Project management roles ideally within the railway industry and OLE/civils.
- PTS card and OLEC competencies
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role working as an assistant Project Manager within a rail or civils company.
