Blaymires Recruitment is representing a busy main contractor based near Hursley, Hampshire who is searching for a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join the business.

The company was founded in 2020 and was awarded Chartered Building Company status, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

They have built a robust client base and have successfully undertaken projects across the Commercial, High-end Residential, Heritage, Leisure & Hospitality sectors with project values ranging from £300K to £1M.

2024 is proving to be a busy year for the company and they are now searching for a permanent Assistant Project Manager who is ambitious and motivated with the drive and enthusiasm to work towards becoming a Contracts Manager.

The company will consider either an Assistant Site Manager who is looking for a step up or an existing Site Manager or Assistant Project Manager.

The Role of the Assistant Project Manager

• You will report to the Managing Director and in turn be responsible for all site activities.
• You will manage all labour and subcontractors to ensure work standards are maintained.
• You will oversee health and safety.
• You will be responsible for calling off materials and maintaining programmes.
• You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure delivery in a timely and efficient manner.

Skills Required of the Assistant Project Manager

• Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word & Excel.
• SMSTS certificate.
• First Aid certificate.
• Scaffolding certificate.
• CSCS Card.
• Good communication skills.
• Assertive and strong persuasion skills.
