Your next role

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be working on one or more of our exciting projects contributing to the delivery of the Children’s Commissioning Strategy.

You will be working with a team of experienced Strategic Commissioners and project management professionals from varying backgrounds coming together to deliver key change projects for the Swindon Borough Councils Children’s Commissioning Service.

This is an exciting environment where you will be encouraged to work independently and develop your skills and experience.

About you

The post holder requires knowledge, understanding and experience of project management, procurement and contract management. In addition, the post holder requires excellent communications skills and the ability to facilitate a range of diverse stakeholder groups. You will have:

  • Proven experience supporting projects, ideally with a project management qualification.
  • Motivation and dedication, and are able to fit with our collaborative culture and become part of our team
  • Good communication and planning skills and a track record of building authentic, trust-based relationships within a team environment
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, having a positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn new processes and procedures
  • Exceptionally well organised with the ability to successfully self-manage, prioritise and organise workload in fast paced environment
  • Ability to recognise and manage confidential information appropriately

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
