As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll support the Project Managers with the day-to-day management of our project delivery to ensure projects are delivered on time and budget and are compliant with current legislative requirements. We are at an exciting time in our business, as we respond to the changing office requirements with more hybrid working and consider what our future office ways of working will look like. You will support the team in ensuring we deliver a fantastic office environment to our colleagues across the business, responding to changing customer needs. 

 

In this role you’ll be responsible for supporting the Engineering Projects Team with the co-ordination of resources, meetings, information, and equipment to keep the project organised and running smoothly ensuring the business units and functions get an exceptional quality of service and delivery. You will be driving, chasing, and tracking tasks within the designed plan ensuring that any variations are communicated.

Working full time, you can enjoy our hybrid working from our Warwick office and home. You'll be flexible to travelling to offices and project sites as required.

Key accountabilities

  • Adopting the most appropriate use of technology and toolsets that support the successful delivery of projects through better communication technology, collaboration, planning and control. 
  • Create and submit purchase orders, process invoices from service providers for payment and manage communication with finance team members and other stakeholders.
  • Produce and develop management reports for the team and stakeholders.
  • Develop and update the team performance dashboard and managing the team SharePoint site.
  • Actively engaging and working towards resolution of all assigned project issues / risks, escalating concerns at the earliest opportunity.

About you

You will need to bring:

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills. 
  • Skilled commercial and financial acumen. 
  • Experience of working in a project environment.
  • Experience of managing resources and allocating work.
  • The ability to demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to work as a team player.
  • The ability to work under pressure to tight timescales with the ability to prioritise accordingly.
  • The ability to work on own initiative without close supervision.
  • Good all-round communications skills with ability to build relationships.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.

 

We’d like it if you could bring:

  • A recognised project management accreditation such as PRINCE2, PMI or an interest in working towards gaining a qualification. 
  • Experience of multi-site programmes.

What you'll get

A competitive salary between £39,000 - £44,000 – dependent on capability.

 

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
