Equans is looking for a Assistant Projects Supervisor to join our team in Torness on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Our Project Supervisors are responsible for ensuring a given task’s schedule, budget and details are well organised. They communicate with various departments to keep everyone on board about any changes to the project plan. In addition, they organise reporting, plan meetings and provide updates to projects Team Members

What will you deliver?

  • Coordinating within the Projects team to ensure that work is progressing on schedule.
  • Review progress reports from each team member to track the status of each task.
  • Preparing cost estimates for projects
  • Monitoring employees’ work hours to ensure that they are working efficiently.
  • Scheduling meetings with clients or other stakeholders to discuss project objectives and requirements.
  • Communicating with other team members to ensure that all requirements are met.
  • Working with the client and our project team members to ensure that work packages are of a quality standard.
  • Managing a project’s orders and record keeping of material
  • Managing a team of subcontractors, suppliers, and other parties involved in the project’s work.
  • hold their staff accountable for the delivery of pre-job and post-job briefs to ensure we pass on our experiences and capture any learning from the safe delivery of work.
  • Risk assessing work, ensuring that risk assessments are written and recorded, and work is carried out safely in accordance with written procedures.
  • Attend and participate in training courses as required and to undertake any training in the future as may be required to ensure the duties of the post are effectively carried out or as required

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven working experience as a Project Supervisor
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
  • Project delivery and supervision skills
  • Decision-making ability and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
  • CDM Awareness
  • SMSTS or SSSTS desirable
