Assistant Psychologist

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to join our highly skilled team. You will work under the guidance of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
The post holder will develop and deliver psychoeducational/skills-based groups for adults with a variety of mental health difficulties across both secondary and primary therapy settings. This exciting opportunity will enable you to develop both your therapy and research skills. There will also be opportunities to work with clients on an individual basis.
The post is part of the Research, Innovation and Therapy (RIT) team, based in the Integrated Psychological Therapies Service (IPTS) which provides a range of therapeutic interventions for adults with a variety of mental health difficulties. The focus of the RIT team is service development across both IPTS and our Local Primary Mental Health Support Services (LPMHSS).
This will provide you with the opportunity to work on projects that fit with your own interests that are in line with service needs. We are also committed to increasing co-production and developing links with other services within the Health Board and third sector organisations to ensure the best possible care for service users and their loved ones /carers.
Develop and deliver psychoeducational/skills groups in Adult Mental Health primary and secondary care therapy services.
Involvement in service development projects including evaluations of interventions, staff training and research.
Deliver one to one interventions to primary care clients as required.
The ability to travel between sites in a timely manner is essential as travel across the three Counties will be required, equally, the willingness to work remotely for part of the week will also be required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
