Derbyshire’s public health team, DCHS and the Quality Conversations Programme are collaborating to deepen knowledge and practice around the impacts of trauma on the health and wellbeing and on the effectiveness of the workforce to deliver informed and compassionate services.
Join our friendly team raising awareness of the impact of wider determinants of health and specifically trauma as a cause of health and wellbeing inequality.

To support wider public health mental health campaigns across Derbyshire.

Be proficient in planning, prioritising, and organising own work.
Role 2: Trauma Informed
Trauma Informed Derbyshire (TID) is a new innovative programme of work which is catalysing improved systemwide knowledge and understanding of trauma, its impacts and how to develop trauma informed approaches.
The role will suit someone who has interest and knowledge in the impact of trauma across the life course. There is a strong focus on workforce and organisational development so previous experience or interest in these areas will be required.
See Job Descriptions for full details of duties for both roles.
Our Health Psychology department is made up of several dedicated professionals who come from a range of backgrounds and have diverse experiences. The environment is supportive and nurturing overall so even if a role in this area is newer to you, you would be well supported. The post holder will be working closely with Derbyshire Public Health and other system partners across Derbyshire.
In DCHS, our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.
See the Job Description and Person Specification for full details of duties for both roles.
Please specify in your application if you wish to be considered for Role 1 quality Conversations, Role 2 TID, or both.
