Randstad C&P are working with a leading residential construction firm based in the vibrant city of Glasgow. Dedicated to creating high-quality homes that meet the needs and aspirations of clients, they are looking for a dynamic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

Position Overview:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Quantity Surveying team in the successful delivery of residential construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to grow their career in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets.
2. Conduct regular cost assessments and monitor project expenditures.
3. Collaborate with the project team to ensure cost-effective solutions.
4. Prepare and analyse tender documentation.
5. Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor quotations.
6. Monitor and report on variations to the contract.
7. Maintain accurate records of quantities and costs.
8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
9. Support the Quantity Surveyor in preparing monthly cost reports.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
2. Strong understanding of construction processes and techniques.
3. Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
4. Proficient in relevant software, including Microsoft Excel.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work well within a team and independently.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory. Graduates are encouraged to apply.
