Assistant Quantity Surveyor | Barking Area | Large Regional Contractor
We are currently working with a large regional contractor who have an immediate requirement for a Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
My client is looking for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to work on a variety of projects typically up to the value of £25m.
The role will be reporting into the Managing Surveyor. You will be working closely with the project team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure tenders are adequate to cover QSHE matters including safe systems of work, adequate welfare facilities and other provisions for the effective QSHE execution of the work
- Attend scoping/survey meetings as required on select schemes
- Review client issued scope of works/architect's drawings to ensure that these include all works discussed at initial scoping meeting
- Cost any variations/drawing revisions as they become apparent
- Ensure that a change control process is adopted and that the client/PQs are updated regularly with any changes to the project
- Complete CVCs for each project
- Review project snagging lists
Requirements:
- Experience working on construction projects in a Commercial role.
- Relevant construction/civil engineering qualification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Full UK Driving license
