£12.50 per hour to start

40hrs per week including weekends on a rota

Our superb client is urgently seeking an experienced retail Assistant Manager / Supervisor to join their current team in their very popular premises on the outskirts of Chichester.

Reporting to the Centre manager, you will assist in the efficient running of the internal area on a day to day basis, drive the sales and profitability of all internal departments and ensure the agreed retailing and operational standards are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

· To manage the incoming stock, getting it out swiftly and presenting it well to sell quickly

· To assist the Manager to ensure the internal team all perform to a high standard

· To ensure the team have appropriate work lists and achieve what is expected

· To ensure all members of the team are highly productive and fully occupied at all times

· To conduct the necessary staff coaching and training to develop the individuals

· To ensure all staff present themselves in a Company Uniform & PPE at all times in a clean & tidy manner

· To manage daily breaks and lunches to ensure internal sales area and tills cover

· To ensure the quality of all the stock within the department is maintained and rotated

· To ensure the stock is maintained in a clean, tidy and undamaged state

· To manage and record wastage according to the guidelines laid down

· To assist the Manager to prepare orders in conjunction with suppliers for stock to meet the expected level of trade

· To merchandise and display stock according to the agreed principles

· To undertake stock takes with the Managers guidance

· To request point of sale material and put it out to ensure all displays are fully supported

· To proactively serve and help customers in need of assistance, resolving queries / complaints

You will have the following skills and experience

· Previous retail experience in a multifaceted environment

· Previous Management or Supervisory experience

· Ability to work weekends on a rota

Additional preferred requirements

· Forklift Licence

· Clean Driving Licence

· First Aid Certificate
