Assistant Stud Yard Manager
We are looking for individuals who are committed to the safety and welfare of the horses in their care. This is an extremely “hands on” occupation where you will work as part of a diverse team. You will be an integral part in the life of the horse, and its upcoming offsprings!
The role of Assistant Yard Manager is to maintain the smooth running of the busy Yard environment of around 200 - 250 horses. A key individual who is responsible for the care, co-ordination and overall welfare of the horses as well as training, developing and mentoring the Yard Grooms, both in the absence of the Yard Manager and as a support. Responding to both the Vets and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Health & Welfare of all horses onsite
- Client communications: Liaising with clients regarding health and welfare of their mares, foals and stallions.
- Daily capture of all activities to ensure correct billing, consult updates and services are invoiced correctly by the office.
- Pre planning the daily tasks of all yards and livery sites Communicating with both the Yard Team, Vets and clinic staff to ensure all tasks are understood and actioned accordingly
- Training and developing the Yard Team to comply with all company standards, policies and procedures
- Health & Safety awareness and training – adhering to all standards set
- Responsible for all outside facilities, equipment and vehicles. Estate management and upkeep.

Preferred Qualifications
- Equine degree
- BHS exams
- C&G Driving licence
