This role will focus on developing your DB skills and knowledge, giving you exposure and experience of different clients and situations. You will receive mentoring and be fully supported with comprehensive training and qualification support.
Specifics of the role include -
- Perform a range of manual and system calculations.
- Gain an understanding of individual client requirements, start to understand specific structures, needs and how best to service them.
- Communicate with clients and third parties, gain in confidence, and take on further responsibilities giving you greater client exposure.
- Ensure you work to designed checklists, follow client procedures, understand authorization required and check work for accuracy.
- Prepare bulk mailings for pension increase correspondence, annual newsletters, scheme changes etc.
- Start to develop an understanding of more complex cases - part time, divorce, death and tax issues.
- Keep undated with legislation or industry changes which might affect your client work. Highlight changes and developments to them, alter any calculations, client communications or activities as needed.
- Work closely with colleagues, always ask for advice & guidance. Develop your knowledge and be hungry to take on further complex cases. Take full advantage of the mentoring available.
To apply for this position, you must have some DB Pensions Administration experience and be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop. You will need to display excellent workflow management skills, be a team player and enjoy taking on new challenges and working to the best of your ability.
