Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Assistant Transport Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Transport Manager in overseeing the daily Transport operations of the transport department.
• Ensuring compliance with the undertakings of the Operator's Licence, as outlined by the Traffic Commissioner.
• Managing and supporting two Traffic Planners who will report directly to the Assistant Transport Manager.
• Handling administrative tasks related to the transport department.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the haulage transport industry and its regulations.
• Proven track record of success in a similar role within the transport industry.
• Conflict Management experience.
• People Management experience.
• Organisational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to effectively manage administrative tasks.
