??We are looking for an Assistant Treasurer to join the Anglian Water team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

Join our team as the Assistant Treasurer, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing Group Treasury Operations, Systems, and Sustainability linked debt.

What you'll be doing:

??- Supervise and lead the cross-treasury dealing team, ensuring daily manual and system processes are controlled. Verify correct bank interfaces, accurate bank balances, and proper accounting entries. Resolve business/cash management issues and ensure adherence to treasury policy. Additionally, review and challenge dealing proposals

- Responsibility for final compliance sign-off for all money transactions undertaken each day by the Treasury Team, and all payments leaving the group

- Responsibility for ensuring the documentation evidencing complex treasury transactions such as bonds, energy derivatives and interest rate swaps is appropriate. Liaise and communicate with the relevant lawyers and Banks in respect of confirmations and payments to ensure compliance with treasury policies and financing documents, and ensure that all the transactions are correctly entered onto the Treasury Management System prior to requiring sign-off by the Group Treasurer and reporting under the EMIR regulations. including regulatory reporting (EMIR)

- Primary responsibility for managing the relationship with the Treasury Management System provider, the SAP4Hana project, as well as other treasury and payments systems and manage the issues log ensuring appropriate and timely action is being taken by both the system provider and the treasury team to resolve issues

- Ensure the business is meeting its existing commitments related to sustainable finance and will realise the full benefits of sustainable finance

- Responsible for ensuring that the Operations team undertakes a quarterly review of counterparty SSI's ensuring sign-off by the respective counterparty and review in the treasury management system so that payments are not made to incorrect accounts; compliance with all laws and regulations is undertaken and the counterparty review process is completed in line with board approved treasury policy

- Providing supervision, direction and encouragement to the Treasury Operations and Middle Office teams to perform their duties as they relate to deal settlements, payments, interest payments processes and other treasury operational processes on a daily basis. Ensure the delivery of appropriate controls with coaching and personal development for the team so they are motivated to develop and perform well

What does it take to be successful?

???- Graduate, with a relevant business or economic degree

- Qualified Accountant; ACT qualification (minimum Associate level)

- Advanced technical skills in financial accounting; 3-5 years + post qualification experience within a finance / treasury function

- In depth knowledge of treasury management systems and payment systems as well as strong system aptitude

- Experience of managing debt portfolios and banking relationships

- Proven ability to react quickly to complex situations, with the ability to problem solve, assimilate, understand, and challenge, and then to resolve appropriately

- Strong interpersonal, communication and IT skills and demonstrated ability to motivate others and achieve positive results

- Is able to think on their feet, and provide supervision, direction and encouragement to Treasury Team members

- Responds effectively to changing priorities and deadlines, achieving the right time between time spent planning, and implementing
