We understand hospitality can involve anti-social hours. All contracted staff who earn less than £36,000 full-time annual salary can earn up to £13.50 per hour!

This is working Sunday - Thursday from 7pm - 5am, Saturday and Sunday from 5am - 7pm and Friday and Saturday evening from 7pm - 5am

We also recognise everyone plays their part to provide amazing service.

On top of your salary you canearn up to £1,000 service charge per quarter (points based criteria for eligibility).

About the Role

The Rudding Park team's core purpose is to create timeless memories and instinctive care in exceptional spaces.

Support the day to day operations and guest journey of the Spa Therapy areas, including relaxation zones, treatment rooms, retail areas and overall treatment standards. The role will include the day to day mentorship, development, training, motivation and well-being of the Spa Therapist team to ensure the delivery of an outstanding guest experience.To execute our full treatment menu and spa guest retail experience, continually developing the journey across all brands, including development of sales, seminars, 121 consultations, mini treatments, events, retail display's, team training and standardisation of protocols to the highest standards. Team and individual motivation via incentives to achieve set targets.. To have a genuine passion for delivering outstanding treatments and be responsible for motivating and supervising the standards and treatment quality of the therapy team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To interact and communicate effectively with all team members of the spa and all members of the hotel. This will include maintaining performance standards and ensure that standards of performance are achieved and where standards are not met and the Head of Spa is fully informed.
  • To continually develop individuals within the team, ensuring a consistent learning curve with a high level of motivation.
  • To deliver the full Treatment Menu and lead by example.
  • To develop, schedule and deliver treatment and product training and ensure regular evaluation and development of skills within agreed financial budgets.
  • To lead by example; working within the team, exhibiting strong front of house, therapy and guest services skills.
  • To liaise with the senior therapy and wider spa team to communicate individual and team daily retail targets.
  • Continually assess individual retail training needs and action support.
  • To be fully aware of current and future services and make suggestions for improvement, expansion and/or creation of new services.
  • To communicate with both guests and the spa team to promote all seminars, consultation availability and any retail offers or discounts available.
  • Ensure that all maintenance issues are reported and logged.
  • Be accountable for the smooth operation of all Therapy facilities, Escape zone and ensure running smoothly and safely.
  • Ensure that all relevant spa paperwork is completed in full and stored appropriately
  • Ensure all guest data is collected appropriately and utilised well, profiling guest feedback where necessary.
  • Respond appropriately to guest treatment complaints in a timely manner, and be the first point of contact in dealing with them including written correspondence. This includes the monitoring and follow up of customer feedback and implementation of solutions, including compiling feedback analysis reports.
  • To support team-building exercises and facilitate feedback avenues to promote team well-being and aid staff retention.
  • To perform reception duties where necessary.
  • Deputise for the Spa Therapy Manager where necessary
  • To liaise with the Elite Therapy and wider spa team to communicate the implementation of new procedures.
  • To act as therapy shift leader, taking responsibility for the therapy team where necessary.
  • To be brand ambassador for Natura Bisse, maintaining the relationships with key links and promote knowledge of the offering.

Productivity

  • To be commercially aware and ensure that the business is efficient and profitable.
  • To work, develop and incentivise the spa therapist team to ensure that retail and therapy standards and targets are achieved and exceeded.
  • To maintain training files and development plans for all members of the team.
  • To support with all new starter inductions and in-house training, ensuring all hands on training is completed to Rudding Park and Brand standards.
  • To monitor use of products and train the team in appropriate levels of use per treatment.
  • To carry out wellbeing workshops and train the team to look after their own wellbeing including posture and exercise.
  • To ensure that all team members have clear objectives and use any un- booked time productively.
  • To mentor and develop the spa team, leading by example to ensure that the facility is managed to a high standard in your absence with adequate knowledge of operations and procedures.
  • To inspire and develop a 'can do' attitude with multi-disciplined staff.
  • To ensure that therapists are commercially aware and consistently recommend home care products, up-sell and link-sell treatments, evaluating and driving the team's sales and productivity.
  • To liaise effectively with product house representatives and brand development executives on new product launches, GWP and promotional activity and train the team accordingly.
  • Take responsibility for all visuals and target boards and accurate updates to these.
  • Host daily briefings to ensure clear and regular communication lines.
  • To put together a homecare/lifestyle recommendation for each and every guest, up-selling the spa retail products and improving the guest experience.

Standards

  • To establish a strong guest service ethos, created by monitoring standards via client feedback systems, mystery shopper reports and personal evaluation ensuring a consistently high standard of delivery and guest care.
  • To maintain a standard of excellence in terms of the visual presentation of the spa. To ensure that the treatment and care protocols as established in the Standard Operational Procedures Manuals are evaluated, up-dated and maintained at all times.
  • To oversee levels of cleanliness and hygiene, implementing methods of audit to ensure that all standard operating systems are adhered to.
  • To ensure that all staff adhere to The Spa dress code and are professionally presented at all times
  • To provide a high standard of treatments and lead by example for the spa treatments team.
  • To ensure that all health and safety procedures are adhered to and that all staff are inducted and follow these procedures. Accidents and hazards should be recorded and reported immediately and relevant forms recorded with the Head of Spa. This to also to apply to the guests using the facilities.

About You

  • Possess a warm and positive attitude, with a caring and dedicated approach
  • At least two years' experience within the industry, ideally within a Head Therapist/Assistant Manager role.
  • Natura Bisse training desirable.
  • Recognised beauty therapy qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 / BTEC in Beauty Therapy, CIDESCO etc.)
