As an Assistant Underwriter, your main mission will be to support clients and agents and ensure conversation of new business. This will also include servicing existing accounts and ensure retention targets are met. Communication is key in this role as you will be dealing with enquiries via email, telephone, virtually and on occasions face-to-face. You will also be expected to carry out any additional tasks instructed by your Head of department.

Location: Formby, Liverpool.
Working hours: 37.5 hours Monday-Friday
Salary: £22,050- £24,000
What you’ll be doing:
- Respond to enquiries from clients and agents in a courteous and helpful manner, ensuring that all information required is obtained and communicated.
- Production of monthly renewal lists for allocated product lines, to allow for smoother invite process.
- Production of CCEs and claims analysis within allocated time frames.
- You will be responsible for the burn/cost margin breakdowns, to assist the underwriter with rating.
- Monthly production of postcode analysis, to assist with direct division’s field strategy.
- Create monthly NQ/Lapsed data, this will assist with tracking appetite adherence
What we’re looking for:
- Competent in all Microsoft tools with emphasis on excel (formulas, pivots tables)
- Confident on the phones and dealing with queries.
- Always providing excellent customer service when speaking to clients and agents always upholding the company values.
- Positive outlook and able to deal with challenges calmly.
