A multi-disciplinary Building Surveying practice are looking for an experienced Associate Building Surveyor to join their office based in Essex.
The Associate Building Surveyor's role
The successful Associate Building Surveyor's role will include school condition surveys and reports to support Condition Funding Applications, preparation of specifications/employers requirements documents, and tender documents for tender issue, and work with JCT minor works, intermediate and design, and build contracts.
As the successful Associate Building Surveyor, you will also be undertaking contract administrator duties or Employers Agent duties under JCT contract forms which include contractor appointment, preparing contracts, pre-contract and progress meetings, valuation certificates, handover / practical completion.
The successful Associate Building Surveyor will have?
- MRICS accreditation ideally
- BSc/ MSc in Building Surveying or a RICS accredited degree
- 3+ years of Building Surveying experience
- Previous management experience would be beneficial
- Effective communication, both written and verbal
- Previous experience in contract administration would be beneficial

- £65,000-£75,000
- 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays inclusive of 5 days' Christmas shutdown (22-29 December)
- Annual leave year May to April - Increases by 1 day after 5yrs service
- Pension - M+C contribute 3% employee 5%
- Non-Contractual Bonus scheme, based on business performance
- Eye Tests
- Business Mileage payable at 45p per mile up to 10,000 miles maximum
- Training Budget £500 per year
