Job description
The Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) are hiring a Business Analyst to join our Information Management & Information Technology (IM&IT) function, based in Abbey Wood, Bristol.
You will be joining a team acting as a catalyst for change across the organisation, meaning your work here has the potential to have a massive impact on the business in a relatively short space of time.
Working in a team of technical specialists, you will be helping to embed new technology and tools, automate processes and improve data management. It would be beneficial if you have experience in data/information modelling although this isn’t essential and further training can be provided whilst in post.
With excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, you’ll have the ability to elicit detailed requirements and challenge your customers in a consultative, constructive, and collaborative manner.
In return, you will have the opportunity to develop your skillset very quickly by working on high-impact projects and programmes with the support of our wider Business Analysis and Information Management & Information Technology community.

This role also requires you to have lived in the UK for the last 5 years and obtain Security Clearance (SC). What you’ll be doing
- Investigate, analyse and support the creation of documentation of business processes and detailed requirements for improving processes and IT systems.
- Investigate and gather requirements to inform the development of new or improved business solutions.
- Identify process improvements within project work and raise these to the appropriate stakeholder.
- Look for new and innovate ways to achieve business outcomes.
- Support the development and production of data models.
Person specification
To be successful with your application, you'll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:
- Experience of working as a Business Analyst on projects within an IT delivery organisation.
- Experience of working in process development
