The Role / Responsibilities:
An Associate DevOps Engineer fulfils the following responsibilities across the Moodys Analytics Organization with guidance of more senior team members.
- Take ownership of stories and deliver requirements for these stories with the assistance of senior team members, program and project managers.
- Provide feedback on requirements from a technical perspective and provide estimates for user stories and tasks.
- Provide input into technical design and technical solutions.
- Maintain CI/CD build and release tools, infrastructure, and processes.
- Assist development and support teams in troubleshooting system and software issues.
- Comply and maintain code and security standards.
- Maintain technical documentation.
- Perform On-Call and out of hours support. Review code of Associate DevOps Engineers.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar.
- 1-2+ years of professional software development experience on multi-tiered enterprise applications with a proven track record of on-time delivery.
- Experience with cloud platforms (public, private or hybrid) such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud (GCP)
- Experience across entire SDLC, CI/CD tools, with configuration & release management.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform Etc
- Working experience with Microservice Architectures
- Experience in Operating Systems: Linux, Microsoft Windows.
- Experience with relational databases Postgres, SQL and familiar with NoSQL databases
- Understanding of source code version control systems, Git, Github, and code branching/merging strategies.
- Experience with object-oriented languages such as Java, C# or software development with any strongly typed language.
- Working experience with Observability tooling for logging, monitoring, and alert routing: ElasticSearch, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana etc
- Experience or understanding in working in ITSM tooling: Jira, Confluence, SNOW etc.
- Good communication skills, proven ability to convey complex ideas to others in a concise and clear manner.
- Willing to learn new technologies, capable of self-directed learning.
- Passion for finding and solving problems.
- Works well in a fast-paced team environment;
